Dignity For All Students Act

In compliance with the Dignity for All Students Act the Rome City School District is striving to improve their procedures and policies to support a school environment free of discrimination and harassment.

The staff at Strough Middle School wants students to feel comfortable coming to an adult when he or she feels they are being bullied, harassed or discriminated against.

For several years staff and students came together to get the word out through our Sweethearts and Heroesassembly program and coordinated activities during Awareness Week, sponsored by the Rome Teacher Center, the Rome Teachers Association, and the Rome City School District. We have encouraged and will continue to encourage all students to take a stand and become an upstander instead of a bystander where bullying is concerned.

The Rome City School District has a bullying report form available through the district website; Romecsd.org. Stop Bullying, Stand Up, Speak Out.All students/parents/guardians can use this site to report incidents which will be investigated within 1 full business day. Reports can also be made by contacting the following Dignity Act Coordinators.
